Liquified Petroleum Gas - LPGLiquefied petroleum gas, also called LPG, GPL, LP Gas, liquid petroleum gas or simply propane, is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel for vehicles. When specifically used as a vehicle fuel it is often referred to as auto-gas.

LPG is synthesized by refining “wet” natural gas, and is almost entirely derived from natural gas streams as they emerge from the ground. A small percentage of LPG is derived from the refinement of fossil fuel, while much of it is intentionally burned (flared) for lack of adequate storage availability. It currently provides only about 3% of all energy consumed. LPG burns relatively cleanly with no soot and very few sulfur emissions. As it is a gas, it does not pose ground or water pollution hazards.

Liquified Petroleum Gas - LPGWhen LPG is used to fuel internal combustion engines, it is often referred to as auto-gas or auto propane. In some countries, it has been used since the 1940s as a petrol alternative for spark ignition engines.

LPG is the most widely used alternative fuel for road transport. Propane powers more than 18 million vehicles in over 54 countries worldwide.

ENSIDA Energy LPG technlology dovetails perfectly into the technology used in modern vehicles. Additionally, 98% of all propane in the U.S. is produced domestically from natural gas (Source:Ferrellgas). Practically all existing gasoline engines are suitable for liquefied petroleum gas. Second-hand vehicles can also run trouble-free on liquefied petroleum gas.

Total Carbon EmissionsENSIDA Energy Corporation LPG systems offer an immediate, concrete way to improve air quality, especially in urban areas. In terms of air-borne emissions of the principal regulated noxious gases, propane is among the lowest emitters of all automotive fuels available, with scientific testing suggesting that propane produces 50% less carbon monoxide, 40% less hydrocarbons, 35% less nitrogen oxides and 50% less ozone-forming substances, when compared to gasoline.

ENSIDA Energy Research and Development is dedicated to the furtherance of alternative fuel solutions for the betterment of our world. We strive for cleaner emissions and better efficiency to benefit the environment and human kind as well. Our systems and solutions save money, create jobs, provide a cleaner path to the future and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
